Hey guys, does anyone remember a while back a Rockethub research project about american kestrels? Well since I’m a tiny little bit bird obsessed, I made a donation to help out, and today I received an email with my little bird’s photo, video and stats~ So well, this is Echo. She’s really talkative apparently. xD
She hatched on May 5, 2012 in a nest box south of Nampa, Idaho. She was banded on June 1 and fledged a few days later. Her physical characteristics are as follows:
Wing length: 140 mm
Tail length: 74 mm
Weight: 127 grams
Isn’t she adorable? <3
More precious babbus. This one makes noises omggggg
LOOK AT THIS PRECIOUS BABY
My baby kestrel adoptee from Erin Wonder’s awesome kestrel research project fundraiser! I actually got the e-mail about a week ago, but being negligent of my e-mail due to my OS getting wiped caused me to miss it.
It took so long to decide on a name for him that I did so right on the spot, but I finally settled on Harute because I love naming flying things after other flying things that I like. <3 He is so ENDEARING that I can’t stop looking at him.
This little guy appears to be way more zen than Pumpkin is!

Pumpkin hatched on May 11, 2012 in a nest box south of Nampa, Idaho. She was banded on June 6 and fledged a few days later. Her physical characteristics are as follows:
Wing length: 149 mm
Tail length: 81 mm
Weight: 149 grams
Isn’t she adorable? :D
Remember that Baby Kestrel fundraiser? Well I adopted one and Erin just sent me this video of her! I was going to name her Natasha, but she’s as round as a little pumpkin so I’m going to name her Pumpkin instead, lol!
