deannafancy asked: Good evening! I want to get a tattoo on my arm, maybe a sleeve, consisting of some birds and flowers. I just want to know, what birds would you recommend? Something colorful and interesting would be awesome :)

That sounds awesome! :) I’d go for tropical birds, maybe a quetzal and some macaws- but maybe some of my followers who have bird tattoos can send some suggestions your way! :D

if you are wondering why I haven’t responded to your message/posted your submission….this is why :’)
I’ll try to get through some more this weekend but it’ll take time!

you guys the comments on the bee-eater post are literally making me cry with laughter, you all are the best :’)

So now that we can have moving usericons, I was pondering the thought of changing the Fat Birds icon into a moving one…should I, or should I keep it the same?

Okay, so popular consensus seems to be to keep it the same…but for those who are curious about how to change their own icons, all info is here!

Almost 70k notes in 24 hours? I think that’s a personal record for one of my gifsets, omg! Hi to all you new followers! Hope you enjoy your stay :D

Looks like my baby hummingbird photoset is making the rounds again and people are concerned about the handling. Folks, birds have a very limited sense of smell, handling baby birds will NOT cause mothers to reject them.

You know you’re a bird freak when the thing you miss most about Cancun are the great-tailed grackles. It’s only been 24 hours, but I already miss their pretty tails and weird video-game calls!

And the correct answer….
Haha, I can guess who the new followers are by the number of people guessing tufted titmouse, chickadee, or cardinal! However…the correct answer is:
long-tailed tits

You’re the only person to get the correct species. :D I have posted 12 pages worth of pictures of this little guy. (There are about 10 posts per page, so that’s about 120 pictures of this puffy white feathery snowball that I’ve posted. I guess you could call it love at first sight! ♥ )

People who guessed tits or titmice as a group were pretty close though! I’ve got 9 pages of tits overall and 7 pages of tufted titmice. (runner up: blue tit, with 3 pages)

tits…or owls?

As a group of birds…ding ding ding! You are correct. I have 26 pages devoted to all the species of owls and 37 pages devoted to raptors overall.

As for my most popular guesses:

8 pages of chickadees

4 pages of cardinals (including other species of cardinals)

7 pages of budgies

Hope you enjoyed playing! And enjoy looking through the tagged pages. :D

Which species do you think I’ve posted the most pictures of?

Fun little game for all of you new followers. :) Those who have been around a while may know the answer- or perhaps not! Would love to see your guesses :D
